Firefighters are on scene in Bowral where a tyre store is engulfed by fire.
Emergency service are battling the blaze at Reekie's Tyres and More on Station Street, where the fire has blown through the roof with multiple explosions reportedly heard.
Thick black smoke can be seen in neighbouring suburbs.
The fire spread to nearby Bowral Veterinary Hospital which has been evacuated. It has since been contained.
Both stores are closed for business on Saturday.
Police are directing traffic away form the scene and motorist are advised to avoid the area with heavy traffic on Moss Vale Road and streets surrounding the tyre store.
The road is closed at the Station and Bowral streets intersection. Funston Street is blocked at the roundabout at the interseciton of Kangaloon and Moss Vale Roads.
The tyre shop is opposite Eastbrook Medical Centre and near Harris Farm Markets.
