The jury in the retrial of Robert Xie has retired to consider their verdicts.

Mr Xie, 53, is accused of murdering his brother-in-law Min "Norman" Lin, 45, Mr Lin's wife Yun Li "Lily" Lin, 43, her sister Yun Bin "Irene" Lin, 39, and the Lins' two sons Henry, 12, and Terry, 9 in their North Epping house on July 18, 2009.

He has pleaded not guilty. After a six month trial in the NSW Supreme Court, the jury of nine men and three women were sent out at 4pm on Thursday. Justice Elizabeth Fullerton said they could begin their deliberations at 10am on Friday.

The trial continues.
