A woman pinned a man with a car during a domestic violence incident in the Southern Tablelands on Christmas Day.
A 64-year-old man was walking along Valley Walk, Goulburn, when he was hit by a car and pinned against a fence around 7:30pm on Sunday, police said.
The 52-year-old woman then exited the car and assaulted the man, before returning to the car and trying to drive it again.
A bystander intervened and managed to take the keys from the ignition, police said.
The man was freed from beneath the car and airlifted to Canberra Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
The woman was found injured inside a home a short time later and taken to Goulburn Base Hospital where she remains under police guard.
