A male prisoner who was stabbed in Goulburn Correctional Centre has been transported to the Canberra Hospital in a serious condition.
Emergency services were called to the prison about 2.45pm on Monday after the 31-year-old was found with a stab wound.

The crime scene was examined by specialist forensic officers.
NSW Police are investigating. The man remained in a serious condition Monday evening.
