Partner arrested over Walcha farmer Mathew Dunbar's death

The partner of a Walcha grazier found dead inside his homestead three months ago has been arrested.

Natasha Crossman was taken into custody on Saturday morning before being driven to Tamworth police station.

A police spokeswoman said the 42-year-old was "assisting police with enquiries".

It follows the suspicious death of Mathew Dunbar, 42, on his merino sheep property on the outskirts of Walcha on August 2.

Ms Crossman has told friends she found her partner dead after he had taken his own life.

However, police have been treating the death as suspicious and attended the property "Pandora" on Saturday.

Ms Crossman had remained living at the property following the death of her partner of two years.
