A teenage girl has died after she was hit by a car in the Hunter region.
Emergency services were called to Warrigal Close, Brandy Hill, in Port Stephens, just before 7.30am on Monday to reports a child was struck by a car.
The 15-year-old girl was treated by paramedics, but she died at the scene.
The male driver, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Police have established a crime scene and their investigation is ongoing.
