Teenager found stabbed in Woolloomooloo driveway

A teenager was taken to hospital in a critical condition on Sunday night after he was stabbed multiple times in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

The 18-year-old male from Marrickville was found in the driveway of a home on Plunkett Street in Woolloomooloo with stab wounds to his arm and leg about 11.45pm.

Emergency services were called and the victim was treated at the scene before being taken to St Vincent's Hospital.

On Monday afternoon his condition was downgraded from critical to stable.

A crime scene has been set up, and a knife found dumped in nearby Harmer Street was seized for forensic testing.

Police are investigating, and have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or with information to come forward.
