A Sydney man charged with murdering his wife of 25 years has been found not guilty due to mental illness.
Zoran Crnobrnja had been due to stand trial in the Supreme Court at Darlinghurst on Monday, accused of killing his wife, Vesna, in the front yard of their Casula home in November 2014.
But Acting Justice Jane Mathews entered a special verdict that Mr Crnobrnja was not guilty by reason of mental illness.
She ordered he be detained "until released by due process of law".
